Dear Members,Happy New Year! It’s hard to "think spring" as we all look out our windows today... but, we can try to picture that fresh warm breeze as we step up to the tee.
Before the start of the golf season, there are two open house dates planned here at the farmhouse. The dates are: Sunday, 2/12/06 and Sunday, 3/26/06 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Hopefully, you can come by on one or both of the dates. Please feel free to bring a friend or two, who also might be interested in the 2006 season at Searsport Pines Golf Course.
It will be a chance to get together and talk about the upcoming season – what you like, what you don’t like, things you might like to see happen, new ideas for tournaments, suggestions for pro-shop merchandise, etc. We value your opinions and suggestions which will help make the 2006 season enjoyable for all.
New this season...there will be a drawing at the end of each month for a $50.00 gift certificate redeemable at Angler’s Restaurant. Anyone who plays a round of golf during that month and enters the drawing will be eligible to win. While the season goes on, other prizes will be added to the drawings and fun as a thank you to all our customers. All members will receive a bag tag by the start of the season along with their membership card. With your paid membership, you will not have to pay additional greens fees to play in tournaments here at Searsport Pines Golf Course. Your cost to play in a tournament will be the entry fee for that particular tournament, minus the regular greens fees (depending on whether it is a 9-hole or 18-hole tournament). There is now a website for the golf course. It is nearly completed and should be up and running shortly (searsportpines.com). The e-mail address will be: info@searsportpines.com. Check it out!
If you know that you will be stopping by on one or both of these dates, try to give us a call so we can have an approximate idea of how many people to prepare for.
We have met a lot of great people already and look forward to meeting the rest of the members.
